In the rush to the Tampa Airport, Abby meets a small group of elephants from the famous Elizabeth Siggins Wildlife Foundation fleeing the political horrors of Africa. Putting them under her protection and that of the Hive, she meets Tobi, the elderly matriarch of the small herd who will sacrifice herself to save a human and in return is rewarded with the ultimate gift the Womb can bestow. As the bedraggled group race to the Hive for protection, saving a few desperate souls as they go, the first bomb arrives. As the survivors and the wildlife struggle to adjust to the new pecking order in the Hive and the revelations of their own origins, a woman and her two grandchildren live through the hellish horror and complete breakdown of civilization aboveground as they struggle to reach the Hive where her husband awaits. Horror visits the struggling survivors as they learn the Earth will not support habitation for at least another one hundred years. But the biggest shock comes from the Womb as it extracts a huge penalty from the hapless people, tolling the demise of the human race. Short synopsis - The bedraggled group race to the Hive for protection, struggling with the wildlife underground, as a woman and her two grandchildren live through the hellish horror and breakdown of civilization aboveground, after the bombs.

Evaluation Appertaining To Books Hive (Species Intervention #6609 #4)
The intensity of Accinni's "Species Intervention" series has reached a crescendo in "Hive." Book Four delivers the author's amazing story-telling again with startling surprises, mind-boggling twists and turns and an eagerness in this reader to keep going (evidenced by my reading of Echo, Armageddon and now Hive in the past 5 days).SPOILERSMany answers have been revealed including a revival (choice of words intended) of Netty, Baby and Wil. The "6609" number finally makes sense, too, which is

Okay I just finished the first 4 parts of the Species Intervention books and I must say I agree with some of the reviews, the introduction of some of the new characters is a bit much. I am truly disappointed with what happened to Suzie wont give anything away for that of spoiling the book for readers, but I found that some of the events that happened were just filler, that took away from what the book was really about. I love the characters of Nelly, Baby, Wil, Abby, Jose and Scotty and even a

I have to say this book did get on my nerves more than the others which I loved, hence the different stars, it was still very good but I think there was just too much going on again. I think the loran and Seth storyline really annoyed me. Why is it women in the middle of a disaster pick up a man near the site of a murder and never seem to connect the dots. It's a bit like films where people insist on going outside and get shocked when they get killed!! Also their journey seemed to take months

What a fast-passed book! The trials of getting the animals they rescued to the shelter and saving the ones at the Bronx zoo has you on the edge of your seat. So many little things go wrong. The tension among the friends is palpable. Jose is having feelings of jealousy as the relationship between Abby and Captain Cody blossomed into one of mutual trust and support, his past has thrown him for a loop, Scotty's girlfriend is in shock, Peter is lost in an emotional pit. Worry all the animals are

Fourth book in the Alien Species Intervention #6609, which spans a couple of centuries from the early 20th century into a vividly-imagined and traumatic future. In this book, the world faces annihilation as nuclear war wreaks near-total destruction. Humans are no longer the dominant species, and survival is the only game in town. We follow the frantic rush to reach the Hive on the part of Lorna and her grandchildren, and escape from Seth's clutches. There are violent, searing scenes in the

I received this book to give an honest review.First let me say I LOVE this cover! I love elephants they are one of my favorite creatures, and the way this cover is drawn just makes me get all giddy inside. Now that aside let me get on with my review.I honestly believe that J.K. Accinni could be a bestselling author! The way she can weave a story and tell it is just stupendous. I have not been disappointed with her books at all and after reading the Hive I am so wanting more. I want to know who

The continuity of these books is superb. All of the characters from the previous books are in this one. The treatment of bringing those characters into this story keeps you glued and interested in the whole series. You'll be captivated by every single world. The story is so compellingly told that you're going to want for the aliens to destroy the whole human race. Only a gifted author can invoke such thoughts, emotional, and passion. Read this book. It's worth the time.
